Ashland Water Polo - Community Yard Sale NEWS update.

Yard Sale Season is now upon us! Last year we earned almost $6,000. The key to income is volume and we still have two months (twice as long as we had last year!) to bring in merchandise . We're looking for a match of abilities and interests with key roles to support this fundraiser.

The more volunteers we get the easier everyone's part will be.

1. Do you enjoy yard sale-ing? We need volunteers who are out on the weekends to offer our "post yard sale pick up service." People are happy to get the tax deduction and not to have to drive leftovers to Goodwill. Print and take the attached flyer with you and hand it to people who are having yard sales. We need a steady effort on this all summer.

2. Have a truck, van, trailer or even a hitch on your vehicle? We need several families to pick up donations and take them to the storage unit. I will coordinate donations, and we need people to do the pickups. Sunday afternoon is a common pick up time for leftover yard salepickups.(Let me know your availability. We will work around the time you can offer.)

3. Like puzzles? Like to have something to do while you watch tv? We have a couple of boxes of hangers in need of untangling. Set up will go more quickly and we sell more clothes when they are on hangers. (plastic and wire mixed)

4. EVERYONE, please print several copies of the attached (click here) donation request. Carry it with you, hand it to your friends and neighbors. Each family please get donations from at least 10 people. The more we collect the more we will earn! When you get donation offers, please keep as much as you can in your own garage and bring it to the sale on pricing day. Whatever you can store is money earned for the team, when we don't have to pay for additional storage units.

The yard sale is the weekend after school starts, September 12th and 13th. Pricing day is Friday, September 11th and we will need LOTS of help that day. Put it on your calendar now! I will be coordinating the weekend as we get closer, but let me know now about your availability for that weekend now.
